Saleh Katbeh

Saleh Katbeh is a composer, producer and oud player based in Berlin. He studied music at the High Institute of Music in Damascus, and after moving to Germany, he studied at the Franz Liszt University in Weimar, graduating with a master’s degree in music theory. Saleh is known for his soundtrack compositions, using his oud in many styles and arrangements to create rich and captivating atmospheres for drama scenes, including “Homework” (premiered in Berlin 2021), “Die Fabrik” (premiered in Berlin), “Y-Sednaya” (premiered in Naples) and “King Is Yet To Come” in collaboration with German composer Ulrich Kreppein, (premiered in Cologne Philharmonie). Saleh is also co-founder, oud player and composer for three projects, Coma, a downtempo band in Weimar, Ramal Ensemble with his former colleagues from Damascus, and Nakriz, the oriental techno uprising band in Berlin electro scene. Saleh also has a lot of experience with mixing and mastering; his productions can be found in many different contexts and projects.
